Third International Workshop on

Knowledge Discovery and Cloud Computing Applications

Authors are invited to submit original, unpublished research and application papers that are not being considered in another forum. All submitted papers will be peer review by at least three mem-bers of the technical committee, and carefully evaluated based on originality, significance, clarity and scientific-technical rigor reported.

It is recommended that Regular Papers are submited for review with around 8 to 10 pages, including references, tables, graphs, images and appen-dices. Submissions with less than 4 pages or more than 13 pages will be automatically rejected. Please follow Proceedings Author Guidelines to prepare your papers. The guidelines for authors can be found at http://www.dataconference.org/Guidelines.aspx.

All papers must be submitted through the online submission platform PRIMORIS and should follow the instructions and templates provided in http://www.dataconference.org/Templates.aspx, which are also the templates for the camera-ready submission. After the paper submission has been successfully completed, authors will receive an automatic confirmation e-mail.

After a double-blind peer review, qualifying papers may be accepted as either Full Papers or Short Papers.

Papers classified as Full Papers are awarded a 30’ minutes slot for an oral presentation at the conference. Papers classified as Short Papers are given either a 20’ minutes slot for an oral presen-tation or assigned to present at a Poster Session. Authors who have been assigned an oral presentation, either Full or Short, may however also choose to present at a Poster Session instead, should they prefer it.

PUBLICATION

All accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings, under an ISBN reference, on paper and on CD-ROM support. All papers presented at the conference venue will be available at the SCITEPRESS Digital Library. SCITEPRESS is a member of CrossRef (http://www.crossref.org/) and every paper on this digital library is given a DOI (Digital Object Identifier).

It is planned to publish a short list of revised and extended versions of presented papers with Springer in a CCIS Series book, http://www.dataconference.org/BooksPublished.aspx, (final ap-proval pending).

INDEXATION

The proceedings will be submitted to Thomson Reuters Conference Proceedings Citation Index (ISI), INSPEC, DBLP, EI (Elsevier Index) and Scopus for indexation.

Post-Publication and Best Paper Awards

Regarding post-publications and best paper awards, only the papers that had additional reviews performed by independent members of the workshop program committee are candidates either to post-publications or to best paper awards, prior to consider the possibility of their actual inclusion in the selection lot.
